SELF PORTRAIT

My work explores the fragmentation of memory through layering and transparency. My primary focus is to capture the experience of being human by piecing together disparate parts of memory.  
Marks that come spontaneously but that keep appearing in different iterations become central to the construction of meaning in my work. A book, a piece of paper, a textile, became the space where multiple moments accumulate to create their own memory.
